LJ Girl Behind The Look – Golden Globes 2014 Review

We found Laura Jane on and loved her review of the 2014 Golden Globes.  So here is an overview of some of the more outstanding looks of the red carpet.  Tell us if you agree with Laura.
We will continue to bring you more in depth analysis all weekend long of the fashion, beauty and accessories.

Casual Layered Look With Burberry Peplum Trench

A fabulous daytime look that translates for just about everyone. You get the length of the red skinny jeans and the camouflaging effect of the peplum shirt and crop trench coat.  Be sure that your top flows a little beyond your jacket for that peek-a-boo look. This is a great way to feature a print that you were not sure what to pair it with.  -FPP

Fashion’s Night Out 201: Wintour & Beckham

A great night was had by all but not much shopping.  I truly enjoyed the energy of the evening here in NYC but found that it was a little more about experience than purchasing.  I am sure that others found things to love for years to come.  Perhaps it’s the fact that I am always looking for amazing items that make me a little slower to pull out the wallet during an event of this nature.  What did you find??

Red Carpet Ready: Jada Pinkett Smith in Emilio Pucci

That gold color is amazing on her!  You know that you are a Super Star when you can get the designer to take runway and make it YOUR way.  Excellent choice to go long with this fitted number.  We all know that she is a petite woman but this dress makes her look 6 ft tall.

The Met Ball 2012: Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations

Today is the day!  Met Ball watchers be on the lookout. The Met’s Spring 2012 Costume Institute exhibition will be well attended by the glitteratti and we are all expecting the usual suspects to show up (Rachel Zoe, Heidi Klum, Donna Karen and the like).  Would it suprise you to know that Tim Tebow, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony are also expected to be in attendance.  I find it less than fashion worthy but interesting none the less.

In addition, for the first time many of us will be among the first to see what’s what even if it is only by streaming video. Vogue‘s William Norwich and Elettra Wiedemann will be hosting the video event and interviewing the arrivals. I am sure that you would love to see it too.  Check out all the fashion fallout at: and let us know what you think.  Don’t forget to have your Twitter up so that you can #MetQuestions your questions. You can also follow us on Facebook for all the updates (

You can rest asured that we will bring you all the styling, the hair and the jewels we can capture.  See you on the red carpet.
